A teratological study was performed using Sprague-Dawley rats to examine the teratological potential of LBD-009. LBD-009 was administered subcutaneous during the organogenesis period (day 7th to 17th of gestation) of rats at dose levels of 1, 3, and 10 IU/㎏/day. All pregnant females were sacrificed on day 21 of gestation and terstological abnomalities of their fetuses were examined. No statistically significant difference of body weight change between control and treated groups during experimental periods was noted. There was no statistically significant difference of numbers of corpus luteum and implantations, fetal death ratio, fetal death ratio, and placental weight between control and treated group. No marked external, visceral and skeletal abnomalities related to LBD-009 were observed in the fetuses.
In conclusion, LBD-008 does not show any effect on implantation or embryonic development.
